Miyazaki Kamimizu-en” established in 1896
The tea plantations are located in the Miyakonojo Basin, which spreads to the south of the Kirishima Mountain Range. It is a suitable place for tea cultivation because of the fog generated by the temperature difference between morning and evening peculiar to the basin. Under this environment, the tea is grown without pesticides in the natural biorhythms of the environment, and is from our own tea garden.
All processes, from cultivation to processing to sales, are carried out in-house. In 1981, we became the first company in Japan to commercialize water-dispensed tea.
The tea draws out the natural power of the plants that grow wild in nature, and you can make a delicious cup of watered tea in about 30 minutes. The tea has no astringency unique to Japanese tea and is very easy to drink. The tea is full of flavor and soaks into the body. It is also pesticide-free, so it can be drunk safely by children.
Many track and field teams have adopted Mizudashi tea as a special drink for marathon water supply, and it has been drunk by athletes who participated in the 1990 Rotterdam Marathon, the 1991 World Championships in Athletics, and the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. In 2004, it was recognized as the official drink of the Miyazaki Athletics Association.
In 2020, Miyazaki Josuien’s tea was selected for the official after party of the 92nd Academy Awards held in Hollywood, U.S.A., in recognition of the company’s commitment to tea, people, and nature.
